Find joy in making
I believe everyone can find joy in making things.
At Swallow Art Cambridge, we want to create a warm and welcoming space where children and adults can slow down, experiment, and enjoy the process of making art, without worrying too much about getting everything right.
Whether you're learning to draw, trying printmaking for the first time, exploring illustration, or simply making something with your hands, there is always something exciting to discover. For us, art is not only about the finished picture. It is also about curiosity, experimentation, and finding your own way of seeing and making.
A little about me

Hi, I'm Yan — an illustrator, printmaker and art teacher based in Cambridge, UK. I studied Children's Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art, where I graduated with distinction.
I want to share with you my studio space, where I find peace of mind and time to grow for myself. I also hope to inspire people to start their journey of making, and find joy in it. That's why I found Swallow Art Cambridge.
A place to make, explore and grow
I want Swallow Art Cambridge to be more than somewhere you come to learn a particular art technique.
It is a place to try something new, make mistakes, follow an unexpected idea, and discover what you can create.
Most importantly, I hope everyone who comes through the studio can find a little joy in making.
